Lots of people can (and will) tell you about the views of Jim Yong Kim, the administration's nominee to be World Bank president, on fighting poverty and improving global health over the next few days. But the Wall Street Journal has unearthed what's sure to be the most compelling character testimonial you're going to find (fast forward till about two minutes in to get to the good stuff):
A bit painful to watch, I know, but it convinced me the guy is going to be pretty terrific in this job. I love him already.

If Sean Hannity claimed Howard Dean's career was over for yelling Yeeehaaaahhh! -- Hannity is going to make a lot out of this.

I think that the conclusion that you draw from viewing this video is completely absurd. I also completely agree.

I don't know Noam, in context, it wasn't that bad. We've seen Al Gore clap. This guy's a little smoother, and he's just say'in thanks for good times to the former employer.

I love it! I can't imagine any of his stuffed shirt predecessors doing anything at all like this. A breath of fresh air for the Bank. I assume that even Sean Hannity has better things to do than take on this guy for being able to relate to his students...though that won't stop Hannity from possibly going after him for some other absurd reason. Also, I am oh so relieved that the rumors about Larry Summers getting the nod proved unfounded.
