If I've been a downer today for my liberal readers, let me just note three happy events from today:

1. Federal judge overturns Prop 8 in California, paving the way for gay marriage.

2. BP says it has sealed the well in the Gulf.

3. Senate votes for $26 billion in state aid, House is returning to session to pass it.
