Go Home That's It, I'm Never Inviting John McCain To My House

That's It, I'm Never Inviting John McCain To My House

Just 19 months ago, John McCain and Moammar Qadhafi were getting along famously:

Now McCain is upbraiding President Obama for failing to depose or kill his former host:

Mr. McCain, one of the loudest critics of the White House’s approach to Libya, said President Barack Obama’s speech Monday night must have pleased Libyan leader Col. Moammar Gadhafi. The president’s 2008 campaign rival called it “puzzling” that Mr. Obama said that “regime change by force would be a mistake.”

“Gadhafi must have been somewhat comforted by that,” Mr. McCain said in an interview on CNN minutes after the president concluded his address.

I've seen some ungrateful houseguests, but this is really taking things pretty far.

I'm sure is just a wild coincidence that McCain's chose to use the word "comfort", given that so many on the whackaloon far right like to accuse Obama of treason... defined, in part, as giving aid or comfort to the enemy...

Get real. he had a late evening with an interesting man... who clearly never called back after their assignation. So, mcCain is within his rights to be miffed. He will NOT be ignored!!

Maybe the aged McCain confused Qadhafi with the World's Most Interesting Man from the Dos Equis commercials. Over a few cold beers, it would be easy to miss the whole 'evil tyrant' part.

This merits widest dissemination. 6 months ago Khadaffi/Gadaffi/Qadaffy (or however we're spelling/pronouncing it today) was the right's favorite reformed tyrant. He saw what George Bush did to Saddam and drew the correct conclusions. And on the subject of drawing the correct conclusions - North Korea chided Libya for giving up its nuclear weapons program. Suckers in the eyes of the Hermit Kingdom. You can be sure that Iran won't make the same mistake.

John McCain has become a self-parody.

Only to the degree to which willing puppets/lap dogs are inherently self-parodying, lib.

epistemic closure means if you don't admit it, then it never happened.
