I don't think asking for compromise will be as effective as pointing the finger of blame at the perpetrators. They'll fight compromise, but they'll run from blame.

Well said Nush. Tried compromise, it failed. Zealots do not do compromise. There is a time and place to point fingers and lay blame. Shame sometimes works so it's high time to give it a shot.

"Zealots do not compromise!" -- Carve that in stone and send it to Obama, maybe he'll quit thinking the Republicans really want compromise.

I doubt that shame will convince Repubs, Blue-Dog-Dems or BHO to change their disasterous ideologies, policies, and/or personalities-- and produce Progressive leaders who support Progressive policies and Keynesian economics. Only successful political Progressive challengers will do that. Pray for failure of the debt-limit-compromise---- and an economic crisis now when there is still time for voters to oust many of those responsible.

Shame? Barack Obama? Wow. Obama should be ashamed because he doesn't conform to dro's lunatic ideology? What planet is this nut from? And then dro lines up with the nutters of the right in hoping for a default. He is like the Marxisants of the 1960's who always wanted to "heighten the contradictions." I didn't think it was possible fro dro to get nuttier, but we are seeing this phenomenon unfold before our very eyes.
