This eerily resembles my high school football highlight video from 1988:

I even suffered a back injury and (the previous year) a broken finger, two of the least macho injuries you can have.

Oh, nooooooooooo. This poor guy. But at least he got out and tried for the team. I wouldn't have been caught dead, so I admire that he at least gave it a shot. But oh, this video made my guts ache.

Did Mike's dad narrate this "highlight" film? Kinda sad. But, as drdan noted, at least he made the team. I never played a down of organized football in my life. I played varsity baseball and boxed. I broke my right hand on some gangbanger's concrete empty skull in a street fight, thus endth the boxing "career".
