I realize that, within the world of political punditry, being provocative is the way to fame and fortune. But when even Bill O'Reilly is struggling to talk sense into Lou Dobbs on this crackpot birther business, it is time for CNN to reconsider its commitment to its famously arrogant, uncontrollable--and increasingly unhinged--host.
The real test, of course, will be if Dobbs starts sounding nuttier than Glenn Beck. Then it may be advisable to consider a different, more involuntary kind of commitment for Lou.

Not to worry. Soon Lou Dobbs will be a laughing stock.
Yes: I have obtained a copy his birth certificate.
Among other things, it reveals the following:
* that Dobbs is an exterestrial
* that his father's name was Cesar Chavez
* that his birth was listed as "an immaculate rejection"
* that his brain was set on "pause" until the found his first brown guy
* that it took hours and hours of labor in order for him to squeeze out of his mother's nostrils
* that he was born right on the border---his feet in America and his head in Mexico
* that his middle name was Wetback
* that he urinated on the birth certificate repeatedly
* that he used the birth certificate as a diaper

I don't think that even Lou Dobbs can exceed the nuttiness of Glenn Beck, Michelle. If he starts nattering on about concentration camps, he has only tied him. Still, CNN should cut that fool loose.
