Looks like the George Tenet p.r. blitz might make a stop on Capitol Hill.

If, as Tenet alleges, his "slam dunk" quote was transferred from the ease of making and selling the case for war to the overwhelming evidence that Saddam possessed WMD, why didn't he object at the time? By his silence, he made himself a co-conspirator in deceiving the American people, for which President Bush rewarded him with a Medal of Freedom. He accepted it with nary a peep.
This episode makes me sick. Now , in his tell-all memoir, poor Tenet is complaining that those bad people misused his words by changing their context. If he had had integrity and a set of cojones, he could have been a hero and perhaps saved our country from all the lost lives and vast expense of the past six years. What a creep!
