James Carville--writing the Washington Post to defend, at length, his Judas comment about Bill Richardson--pens what might as well be the Clintonite credo:
I believe that loyalty is a cardinal virtue. Nowhere in the world is loyalty so little revered and tittle-tattle so greatly venerated as in Washington.
How he can write this after the Bush years is beyond me.
