Republicans eat their own over Iraq:
One GOP lawmaker, who declined to be named, said it is "starting to get really ugly" among Republicans when they try to talk about Iraq and the wisdom of the new Bush policy. This lawmaker said when a Republican stands up who has doubts on Iraq, he's immediately "beaten down" by other Republicans who believe that any deviation from the White House position is intolerable.
Said another Republican with concerns about Bush's new strategy: "It's as if we are stabbing the party in the back, and we are only trying to do what we think is right."

what is more important then being loyal to a Political party? Mustn't let the damn enemy ever see any weakness, and by enemy I mean the Democratic party and the fickle electorate that elected them. Damn botox shooting, latte drinking, homosexual marrying hippies. I say Dick Cheney for President, he will stop global warming by creating a nulear shroad over Iran, thereby taking care of two problems at once.

I say we take the Kurtz approach: "We must kill them. We must incinerate them. Pig after pig. Cow after cow. Village after village. Army after army." Yeah, that's the way to go. And this applies to the ungrateful Iraqis AND the America-hating Iranians. A solution to all of our problems. Just blow up those dirty, stinking, good for nothing crazy Muslims. And maybe throw in some Dem congressfolks and Chuck Hagel for good measure. Maybe even John Warner... Faster, please?

From the good Reverend Jim Jones: "Don't, don't fail to follow my advice. You'll be sorry. You'll be sorry. If we do it, than that they do it. Have trust. You have to step across... ...We didn't commit suicide, we committed an act of revolutionary suicide protesting the conditions of an inhumane world.

They've been bludgeoning Democrats with the "emboldening the enemy" schtick for five years now. I'm going to enjoy watching them attack each other.

I was going to say just the same thing. The backstabbing couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of guys.

chrismealy, you are correct, sir. The Democratic shift to the middle has forced the right wing of the Republican party to attack the rest.
