Of course, back in September, letting 55-64 year-olds buy into Medicare was just a wonky solution for a small segment of the uninsured—not a radical left-wing plan like the public option. Today, Medicare buy-in in a radical left-wing plot, so naturally Lieberman now opposes it.

you know, I do wish McCain had picked him as his running mate, one it would have spared the US from the nonsense of Palin, and would have subjected Lieberman as the only VP candidate to lose the VP in two tickets and two parties, and would have left him with the ignominy he so richly deserves.

sd: I allow myself exactly one snarky sentence per week. I saw Lieberman, read the post, thought: "There you are, set for the week!" Now I see you've stolen my, well, thunder. Oy. I guess I just have to wait for another Lieberman post.
