Packer On Iraq

Last year in TNR, George Packer wrote a short and very moving piece arguing that America should do whatever it could to give refuge to Iraqis who had cooperated with the coalition.

This week in The New Yorker, Packer has a much longer report on this same subject.

Packer has written a lot of smart and powerful essays in the last four years, but this new one may be his best.

It's also the best thing I've read on Iraq in a long, long time.

Read it in full here.
