I like that Bill Clinton was careful not to show up in North Korea wearing a goofy smile. Remember how that shot of Obama's grin with Chavez became something like a three-day story.

"Goofy" smile? Well, golly gee and gee willikers, it's been years since I last heard anyone [over 10] use the word goofy...as an adjective.
It sounds like something Clark Griswold might say at Wally World.
Besides, in the wingnut world we live in today, a three day story could revolve around, well, pratically anything, right?
Imagine this, for example:
"We are now in day nineteen of our coverage here in Wasilla. We still don't know why Sarah Palin invited Tina Fey, Katie Couric, Kim Jong il, Bill Clinton and all their publicists to her home. Rumors abound about a new reality show. And then when Simon Cowell, Susan Boyle and Hugh Hefner were ushered inside the house the crowd here convulsed feverishly, searching for even the tiniest scrap that might tell them What This Means.

Hmmm. Not surprising that TNR blog The Plank has given very little attention-- and praise-- to the Clinton's in securing the release of the two women journalists in NK. I suppose around TNR, if you can't bash the Clintons, then best not to discuss them at all. To all of you who predicted the Clintons would be terrible for Obama and our nation: You were WRONG!

As far as the atmospherics of Bill Clinton's trip to North Korea go, I think it's worth noting
