Is this supposed to be a scandal?

The hundred applicants for an Obama senate internship who got turned down so Obama could do a favor for the now-indicted Tony Rezko. To you these things seem small, to the victims they aren't. Not that Hillary $1000-to-$100,000 investments are much better, just be careful who you idolize.

This is like the "house deal". Obama needed to find someone to purchase the adjoining lot on the same day he purchased his home so he could get his house for $300k under the asking price. So, Obama talks to a guy who later ends up under indictment for buying votes (not related to Obama). So, the guys wife buys the lot, sells 1/6 of it to Obama, puts a fence around it and holds it for 18 months. Last I read, the wife was talking about selling the lot to her husbands accountant. Now, Obama accidentally buys shares in two small companies that people who give his campaign lots of money happen to have an interest in. I guess thats likely, after all, there aren't that many publicly traded companies in this country. So, you are right, nothing illegal. Not even a sniff. But I don't like it. He is supposed to be squeeky clean. I don't believe that things like this happen to US Senators by accident. Just like when a member of the government says "I don't remember if I committed a felony on that day", don't believe them. I believe in the iceberg affect... what we see is 1/100 of what is really going on. I don't have to see an indictment to think something fishy is going on. Is it too much to ask the honest guy to actually at least appear honest?
