Today's Salt Lake Tribune reported that Utah of all states is rejecting an outright ban on abortion. But don't get too excited: "House members debated the virtues of mounting the fight and declaring Utah's principles to the world. But they opted instead for a 'trigger' that, in effect, lets other states take the lead in a legal battle that promises to cost millions of dollars to deliver an uncertain outcome."
So declaring Utah's principles to the world was, well, just too expensive. That's committment to the cause for you. Not that I'm complaining.
