As a purely political matter, is there any Sotomayor development likely to play worse for the GOP than having Tom Tancredo decry her as a racist on television?
Having lost the Northeast and Pacific West for the foreseeable future, and done pretty much everything they could since the election to alienate the Rust Belt, do Republicans really want to write off the Southwest as well?
