Has She No Shame? Yes, She Has No Shame

Barack Obama announced a few weeks ago that he would join (my old friend
and comrade) Rep. John Lewis on the march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge
in Selma, Alabama to mark the anniversary of "Bloody Sunday," March 7,
1965, when the state police beat the hell out of peaceful civil right
demonstrators... and bashed the skull of Lewis, then head of the Student
Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). Obama has also been scheduled
to appear with Brown for a speech at Brown Chapel AME Church, a real place
of historic memory in chronicle of the black struggle for equality.

That was at it was on Thursday. Then Hillary Clinton and her campaign got
word of this and they got to work. Hillary's ruthless staff then let it be
known that she would address another and adjacent church at the precise
time that Obama was speaking, and that she would also accept a civil rights
award on behalf of her husband. A few hours later, the campaign announced
that former President Clinton would actually fly down to Selma to accept
the prize himself. The first time that the couple has appeared together in
her campaign. Ah, what sacrifices will they not make to get back into the
White House!

A mordantly telling article by Anne E. Kornblut in Friday's Washington Post tells the desperate tale of the Clintons' barging in on a dignified
historic commemoration. This actually shows how frantic Hillary
is. There will be more reasons to be frantic as the race goes on. Soon
she will be a complete wreck.
