This probably comes as little consolation to all those Red Sox fans who suffered through last night's meltdown, but, my earlier post notwithstanding, it does appear that Mitt Romney is truly one of their own. (Depending on your views of the ex-governor, I guess that could also be considered insult to injury.) My colleague Jonathan Cohn writes:
As an obsessive Sox fan who catches at least 2/3 of the games on TV, I can tell you that Romney was a ubiquitous presence at Fenway while he was governor. The seats are about 20 rows up the from the field, just to the left field side of home plate. From there, Romney was clearly visible (towards the top of the screen) whenever the producers went to the standard shot framing a right-handed batter at the plate.
