Chait wrong again. Rationale would see what is going on here immediately. The wastrels at the bottom obviously aren't working hard enough. So get cracking, you rotters, and create some value-added at your burger flipping jobs at Wendy's or at your parasitical positions at the parks departments of Topeka, Kansas or Red Bluff, California.

Well, I am glad we have a group of "young guns" like chickenhawk Paul Ryan and others about to take the House of Reps. really knows how to fix this problem. It is the same solution to every problem apparently. Look how easy it is: 1. America's infrastructure is approaching third world status in some places - get rid of the death tax! 2. Massive income inequality is threatening economic recovery by keeping demand low - cu the capital gains tax! 3. The rapid rise of growth in medical costs and Medicare threatens the country in the near future - extend Bush tax cuts! Whew!!!
