THE PLANK OCTOBER 10, 2007
I tend to agree with the post-game analysis that Big Fred looked considerably less senile in the last half of last night's proceedings than in the first.
But here's my question: In any one of these two-hour sound-bite fests, how many folks change the channel after the first 30 or 45 minutes to see what's happening on "Oprah" or "Pimp My Ride"? (I'm a paid political junkie, and even I started fast-forwarding the DVR after the first hour.)
So what portion of last night's viewers (including, perhaps, even a few bored pundits) abandoned ship early on and thus came away disappointed that Big Fred is no Arthur Branch?
